Why a paediatric dentist
A child’s mouth is not a small adult’s mouth: milk teeth have their own particularities, the adult teeth are coming through, and today’s habits shape tomorrow’s health. A paediatric dentist is specifically trained in all of this and in looking after children in the surgery.
The main aim is prevention: for the child to reach adolescence with a healthy mouth and no fear of the dentist.
What we do
Regular check-ups from the first teeth onwards, teaching brushing to children and parents, applying fluoride and sealants to the adult molars, treating decay in milk and adult teeth, and monitoring habits and growth.
If we spot a problem with the bite or the position of the teeth, we coordinate with our orthodontist.
How we do it at the clinic
Dr Paz Martínez Cano, paediatric dentist, sees children in short visits, explaining everything at their level and without rushing. The first visits are there so that they get to know the clinic and gain confidence.
We look after foreign families in English and French. You receive a competitive quote, in writing and by email, before any treatment.
Frequently asked questions
Do you see children?
Yes. For under-15s we have a paediatric dentist who knows milk teeth and how to put young children at ease.
Why treat children’s orthodontics early?
Because their bones are still growing. That means we can correct not only the position of the teeth but also improve the profile and the bite for good.
Does the first visit commit me to anything?
No. At the first visit we listen, examine your mouth and explain your options, with no obligation.
Do you use silver amalgam?
No. We stopped years ago because of its mercury content. We restore teeth with tooth-coloured composite.
What can we do for you?
Book a first visit with no obligation. We will explain your options and give you a competitive quote.
